DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
The programme will impart knowledge on the basic laws, theorems, analysis, requirement and operation of electric circuits, machines, circuit designing, etc. Understand the concept of various generation of power and the importance of transmission and distribution. Enhances the understanding of underlying engineering principles that govern the behavior of electrical and electronic systems, teach analytical modeling, simulation and analysis to study the behavior of electrical and electronic systems, provide the skills to design, build and test the systems and subsystems to improve their performance. Imparts training on professional ethics and interactive skills relevant to professional practice. Provides a general perspective and opportunities for a career in industry and business.
With its first batch graduating in 2013, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at East Point College of Engineering and Technology has evolved with time and offers Bachelor Degree courses with an intake of 120 students. The department vision and mission is to meet the demands for new inventions and technologies by producing knowledgeable and committed technologists to serve our country and humanity as a whole. Forum activities (ELFORIA) conducted by the department has been helpful in developing the individuality of the students. Department has been regularly organizing workshops, technical seminars, paper presentations for the betterment of students and making them industry ready. Alumni meet is conducted every year and we have received continuous support from them for the growth of the department.
We have an excellent training and placement cell which conducts regular placement drives from some of the top MNC’s. Regular parents teachers interaction has been done by the mentors for the improvement in the students attendance and academics. Industrial visits to various power stations have been arranged periodically to give students hands-on experience. Most of the faculties are involved in serious research work. The research activity of the department includes fundamental research, sponsored and consultancy projects and is carried out with active participation of the final year students, faculty and research engineers.
