Founded in 1997 by the visionary industrialist, Dr. S. M. Venkatpathi, M. G. Charitable Trust stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to education and social development. Driven by profound respect for his parents, Sri Muniswamappa and Smt Gowramma, Dr. Venkatpathi embarked on a journey in their name to create a lasting impact on the educational landscape.
The inception of M. G. Charitable Trust's journey can be traced back to 1997 with the establishment of East Point School in Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru. This marked the genesis of a visionary dream that has evolved into a distinguished legacy encompassing fourteen premier educational institutions.
Today, the trust serves diverse disciplines including Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Engineering, Administration, Management, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Pre-University and School education, all housed within the sprawling Jnanaprabha Campus at Bidarahalli.
Under the visionary leadership of Dr. S. M. Venkatpathi, this academic ecosystem provides educational opportunities from Pre-KG to PhD, serving more than 10,000 students from India and across the globe.
Complementing its educational mission, the establishment of a 1000-bedded medical college hospital demonstrates the trust’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare services and socio-economic development of the region.
The founder’s vision continues to inspire the institution under the leadership of Smt Ramadevi Venkatpathi, Chairperson of the Trust. The legacy is further carried forward by Sri Pramod Gowda and Sri Rajiv Gowda, Trustees and CEOs of the Group Institutions.
